Thailand Space Week 2024, Thailand’s largest annual space event will be Converging Technologies, Connecting People.

The Thailand Space Week 2024, scheduled for 7-9 November 2024,

will be an event where experts and the space community globally meet in Thailand.

   In the era where space exploration is not limited to just an expedition to explore the new frontier, many have sought the opportunity to utilize space for the greater good of humankind. The fast-growing new space economy has driven the space industry forward at a rapid pace globally.

   The World Economic Forum estimated the value of the space industry to be greater than $1.8 trillion by 2035, contributed by the expansion of the space industry globally, with new startups and many organizations putting their interest towards the space industry.

   In 2024, data from the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency, or GISTDA’s THEOS-2 satellite and its partner had been used for flood mitigation and response by the Thai government and key workers from multiple organizations. Geo-informations had also been used for agriculture, and city planning, and contributed to the development of frontier technology required for GISTDA’s THEOS-3 satellite.

   GISTDA, as one of Thailand's space agencies that plays a key role in building the foundation and the development of the Thai space industry, aims to foster cooperation and enhance Thailand’s capabilities in space technology and development. With Thailand Space Week 2024, Thailand will be the hub for space technology and innovation in the Southeast Asian region, and set the stage for experts and the space community to meet with one another, as per the theme of ‘Converging Technologies, Connecting People’.

   Thailand Space Week 2024 will be the largest annual space event in Thailand, and all attendees can join for free of charge, with the opportunity to stay ahead with cutting-edge updates on global space trends, connect with key players in space business, and meet with experts around the world. In 2023, the event hosted more than 2,100 attendees from 34 countries.

   In an era where space technology plays a key role in daily life, with the chance of rapid expansion in the near future, GISTDA aims to be the incubator and help elevate the Thai space industry by creating infrastructure as the foundation, and development of satellite and personnel. Moreover, GISTDA's intention is to create space awareness for the public, making space more relevant for all. The Thailand Space Week 2024 will unleash the power of convergence in technology, and draw together the global space community and visionary pioneers globally.
