GEOINFOTECH 2017 was finally kicked off during February 9-10, 2017 at Vayupak Convention Centre on 4th floor, Centra by Centara Government Complex & Convention Centre on Chaengwattana Rd. It was another big stage of national academic conference that provided an opportunity to academician, researcher, and student from government and private sector to present and distribute the research of Geo-Informatics and Space Technology which consequently led to increasing quality of life, generate income, and create job opportunity to people at all levels for sustainable country development.   
     At this time Ministry of Science and Technology by Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) received well cooperation from alliance which are Royal Thai Survey Department, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, four of Professional Associations; Geographical Association of Thailand, Mapping Society of Thailand, Geological Society of Thailand, Surveying and Mapping Society of Thailand (SMST) which have fully supported as always. The highlight of GEOINFOTECH in this year was “Resolving a Problem of the Country’s Soil System,” One Map Talk on resolving land problem of the Country, Applied Program on Geo-information Technology, and introducing an article on progress and achievement in Space Technology and Geoinformatics, including an exhibition and modern technology of both government and private sector.
